Quoted from Wickerman2:I read an estimate of an 8 week shut down would effectively stop this thing. I’m down with an 8 week chill out. This is what governments are for, dealing with societal crisis.
Shut down of what?

Shut down of what?
Quoted from Wickerman2:Seems impossible to get tested unless you have 1 foot in the grave. Meanwhile you interact with your family, kids go to school ... probably nothing but this seems like an example of why this is spreading.
A local teacher was quarantined and is now sick, yet sent her kids to school during her quarantine. Parents are not happy.
Quoted from NY2Colorado:I work in the hotel industry. Groups are cancelling at an alarming rate.
I stayed at a hotel this past weekend and was one of maybe 5 guests in the entire place. Same was true for the hotel next door based on the parking lot. Never seen hotel rates this cheap.
Quoted from jorge5240:I left for this trip with complete faith in our medical system. Maybe that was naive but that is how I felt. After this whole experience, I feel no one has any idea what they are doing or how to handle the situation.
I hate that you guys are going through this. This should be an example to everyone, take this seriously. Listen to the warnings.
Quoted from FYMF:Like I said last night: wait until tonight at 8 PM when Publix and Walmarts announce they will be remaining closed for weeks or more.
That will screw the calm up a bit.
I know Publix announced they are closing at 8pm every evening, but I hadn't heard they were closing for "weeks or more". Any sources?
Quoted from FYMF:Hope my source is wrong but I'd bet he is correct.
I'm hoping someone just interpreted the publix post incorrectly. You could read the last sentence in such a way that it sounds like they are closing from 8pm onward until further notice, but according to our local publix it's just an hours change.
pasted_image (resized).pngQuoted from Darcy:It looks like you have lifted that TP from work. Those large rolls, and the wrapped single rolls, are not something available in a grocery store.
Anyone can walk into any restaurant/office supply place and pick those up. Staples has them instock online: https://www.staples.com/Brighton-Professional-Jumbo-Roll-Bath-Tissue-2-ply-White-12-rolls-case-BPR26215/product_365379

This is why pinball gatherings should be cancelled for the time being.
