Quoted from chad:Wrapping up Grand Prix.

What do you plan to do about the cupped inserts?
Quoted from chad:They are bad indeed. For this game, I will be leaving it as they are. Just have the pitch a bit higher to ensure no slow ball catch on one.
I hope that works for you. I tried it on two games without success.
Quoted from clodpole:What're you gonna' use for the particle board repair?
Fiberglass resin.
Quoted from Silverstreak02:I replaced the bottom panel of the cabinet. Next is fixing the lower edge of the particle board back panel.

I completed the fiberglass repair and put the first coat of polyurethane on the bottom panel.

I’m doing a cabinet repaint and felt the old one was good but not good enough for the repaint. I received it today and am very happy with it. Huge difference in my opinion. No more chips or discoloration. The new one is shiny and perfect although it doesn’t have the “W” logo. PBR makes great parts.

I started with 60 grit on my Orbital sander to remove the dings and scratches. I went up to 220 on the sander and then swapped to a sanding block. I took that in steps up to 2000 grit before finishing with Mother’s Mag and aluminum polish. Way too much work (about 3 hours on each rail). There has to be a better way.
I started to work on my Space Mission coin door. The inside brackets were too far gone to polish and plating is too pricey. My solution was to clean in my ultrasonic and paint. I still need to polish the door, but here is a picture of the inside stuff.

Unfortunately no. It will still be a clunk box.
