First game I tackled three weeks ago was my Hulk. Complete tear down, new parts all around, Titan kit and polished every piece of metal.

Right before that, had to make a new light panel. And installed a new Shay backglass.

Also picked up a Contact last Thursday. Liking it a lot despite all the hate I’ve heard for the game. Not easy at all to spell out Contact five times for the extra ball.

Had to rewire the coin door last night. Wasn’t functioning other than the “aftermarket” credit button, and no lights. For some reason not having the price plates lit on a coin door really bothers me. Polished it too.

Did some touch ups on the PF, still needs a little more in the middle. But need more paint colors.

Any PF pitched over 5.0 to 5.3 should avoid catching the ball, unless the inserts are cupped like a damn crater.

You can also level them with superglue or liquid glass if you don’t feel like popping them out, sanding and resetting. Someone pointed me to clear nail polish, but it seems like that would chip out eventually.

Go for it. What else is anybody doing? Work on the Stern Iron Maiden and post some pics. It’ll be like pinball porn.

Awesome work on the Zeppelin pin.

Finished up Lizard. Still needs more touch up and a little love, but much better already.

Got a nice row all working and shopped (Contact rubber kit on order)...switching gears to this thing that was tucked away in a corner.

Was able to play with it a little and get some sounds and lights, but it’s not booting and no control buttons illuminated. Tube display not running.

Anybody else ever work on one of these? I haven’t.

Wanted to play this thing, so forced to spend some time rewiring the rectifier board on the Stern Drac I picked up yesterday. And it’s a newer Rottendog, so of course I had to replace two fuse clips that had snapped already too.

Resoldered some wires under the PF, de-puked it and changed up some LED’s. And always switch to the free play price plates.

Then played the hell out of it without even moving the game.

I didn’t even know the first 12 had that. You’re always educating me Lloyd. That thing looks cherry.

I shifted gears tonight. Stoked to get this thing up and running about 95%. Reflowed the display to get that fully working, reflowed the MPU, replaced all the lights. Got all the rust/oxidation off the gun barrel and pedestal.

Still have 4 targets not working.

On to the mechanics! Calibration off? There has to be some way to calibrate this thing.

Curious, what are you using for polish? I’ve been using Quick Glo and Flitz, but looking to try something different.

Powdercoating or plating? hahaha.

Thanks for the info. 2 1/2 to 3 hours is about how long it takes with the products/method I currently use. I was hoping your way would be faster.

I just did a full tear down on a Bally Safari. Picked it up last month for my daughter (she’s all about tigers and large cats), and the game was a complete disaster. Cab was painted over, but the PF cleaned up very nice. I’ll have to redo the touchups the prior owner did around the pops.

Already in the middle of three other projects, so not exactly sure why I started this one. LOL.

But she wanted it done, and she’s the boss. I told her she’d have to contribute, and she is.

That C37 playfield looks sweet!

Bought a nice DE Batman two weeks ago, 8 hour trek each way. The day after I got it home, it totally crapped out. Good ol PSB, and the ever-crispy CN1 & CN8 connectors.

All fixed. Said screw it, and got the Gulf replacement board. I’ll rebuild the old one for a back up.
