Working on my pullout Game
Quoted from Grangeomatic:Pulled and serviced the time expander on Dr Who. Fixed one of the plungers, installed Cliffys, pulled out blue GI, etc. all was good, but when I finally got it back in, a different plunger stopped working. Crap!
I ain’t doing that again today![quoted image]
This exact task is on my list too. Let me know if you have any tips. Haven’t worked on this machine yet.
Doin a much needed shop on my Addams. Struggling cause I’ve got a nos plastics set I’ve been sitting on for this, but don’t really wanna use it because none of the original are broken. Thinkin I’ll just replace my original clears due to Yellowing...
Finally wrapped up laying carpet tiles over my crappy concrete floor! Only managed to cut myself badly twice

As impressive as that new carpet is, it's actually the framed poster of Farrah Fawcett the ties the room together.
Big Shot left bank had some brackets bent. Got that fixed last night and replaced all the drop targets. Going to try for a few more hours of sleep then finish mounting back onto the play field. Later today hopefully complete the right bank and possibly reassemble the rest of the machine. The pop bumper is really gummed up but shouldn't be as bad as these drop banks. Not sure if the parts polisher is finished doing it's job yet. I need to keep working on pins now because the weather is about to get warm outside for the first time in awhile and will want to accomplish some outside non pinball stuff soon.

That looks great.
What was cost / sq ft?
Might do that in my utility room.

Thanks! It’s pretty cheap... I did my entire room with a few boxes to spare for a little under $500 including the 36” straight edge, carpet cutting blade, and a couple rolls of adhesive tape.
The squares have some adhesive on them as well but wanted to beef them up since my floor wasn’t perfect and I drag pinballs over them.
I used these:
Does that include the cost of bandages?
I too like the Farrah poster, and envy you your Quicksilver. Fun to play and really good Doug Watson art.
Dr who getting some tlc. All 3 flippers rebuilt with new coils...it had 3 different ones!
All fuses replaced with the right values.
The big project for this one is the time expander. I have a new motor, New motor driver board, opto boards and opto carrier are on the way.
Still on the docket is:
Replace all the sleeves
Rebuild shooter
New pop bumper mech (notice the dangle in the bottom right)
The usual, clean and polish and wax and leds and rubbers and pinballs
If this one sticks around I might do decals which would be my first time!

I'am lucky to have a small mancave where i can forget the corona shit for a few hours.

My unsolicited advice: use them and enjoy them. What are you saving them for? Put some plastic protectors on if it helps you sleep (I did).

It really does! Totally unexpected bonus. Warmer on the feet as well
Re-doing a T2 into a Chrome Edition. Stripped the cabinet, painting and re-decaling. Complete playfield swap with a Buthamburg playfield. New legs, rechromed gun and wire forms. All new Comets, Titans, new plastics.

Added Muder Ride sign, Red Hot Pussy Liquer sign and spine.
Game feels way more loaded now.
Love this game.
Time to move her back into her spot.
Just finished a playfield swap on my Iron Maiden pro. This was my first time doing this but it came out perfectly. I had some clear coat issues so I ended up getting a new one from stern. I have to admit that it was very time consuming but now was the perfect time to do it. As I installed all the posts and ball guides back I installed washers and clear rubber washers back in all the trouble spots to prevent damage in the future. I also installed all the Mylar back in the factory spots. I made lots of notes on the original playfield as I was taking parts off to help me to reinstall them on the new one. This took me 30hrs total including game testing and adjusting all the switches and flippers and cutting out the new Mylar to install. Think I’ll stick to my day job.

But a couple of things that have been on the back burner because of work. On Breakshot, the outer upper left section (GI) by the the upper loop did not have a light socket. So I daisy chained from the nearest GI socket for additional illumination to match the right side. Looks so much more balanced, especially with my OCD! Second, after doing a playfield swap with new plastics, thought it would be fun to mount the topper with
a remote LED light from behind. Happy with both!
I like the better, balanced lighting - that kind of stuff bugs me too. Plus, that's a really fun old-style modern game!

Ok cool game but what’s the story with what looks like a row of Emmy awards? Bravo Mr!

Hi Yelobird, Been fortunate enough in my almost 40 years in television as a camera op covering sporting events, mainly with NBC Sports. Most of the
acquired Emmy's are from past Olympics. Before this whole Covid-19 started, my plan was to retire after the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Figured after 15 Summer and Winter games combined, be a good time to retire from the road! Looking more like Tokyo will be delayed, possibly until next year. May have to postpone retirement for another year, crazy unpredictable time were living in!!

Thanks for sharing, very interesting life you have. I hope things get back on track for you.

Been a great ride! Thanks for reaching out!
This is one of the things I love about pinball - we players/collectors/restorers represent an incredibly wide range of occupations and lifestyles, yet we all love these goofy games.
Finished trimming out the ceiling yesterday and planed some wood for the stairs.
Stained the wood this morning and spent 2 hours removing staples on the stairs. Fun times. Also hung some cupboards.
Been a busy morning. Think afternoon beers are in my future

Finally finished shopping an Earthshaker I bought back in August! I'm happy without it turned out, though I might want to replace two of the ramps at some point.
Next up is the T2 sitting in my garage. I got it for free a few months ago from a friend's in-laws.
20200322_162032 (resized).jpg20200322_162821 (resized).jpgPutting the original PF back into Shaq Attaq. Stripped it Bare top and bottom. Cosmetically, it had some issues. After dissembling and taking off the Mylar it was PTSD’ing all over the place. Worked it the best I could while I hunted for a surrogate.
Surrogate found. Taking my sweet time with that. But here we are, under house arrest and I can only ply so much Charlie’s Angels.
So the mostly cured original PF (I finally just slathered On the Verathane like it was frosting) is going back in as an exercise in restoration theory. It has been cut + polished multiple times, allowing New skin dry time. Wiring in, light mechanicals in. Topside started.
If there was a game to cut one’s teeth on, why not Shaq Attaq? I literally bought it to strip and rebuild. Adult LEGO kit.
Missing two screws so far.

Hehe! Yep. Not as horrible as Rudy with his face off though.
