Quoted from yendor0:What’s the scoop on the inserts? Clear so that they can be lit with colored LEDs?
Inserts were really sunken. Affecting ball
travel. Saw some threads on here about dripping
Minwax Polycrylic into them to get level. Was just
about done and decided to clear entire playfield
as well. As I keep working on this pin I keep
wanting to do more/upgrade. I have since been
told this is a common occurrence..haha.
Starting my creature restoration this week!! Can’t wait to start have an amazing playfield done by Ron Kruzman

Man that playfield looks AWESOME

Killer paint job on the walls! Oh wow. Was that done by a painter or DIY ?
Been working on my High Speed complete restore. Started Early January. CPR Playfield swap 99% complete. Waiting for new cabinet to arrive. Old cabinet beyond repair. Hopefully be done in the next month.

3 rolls of tape, 2 coats, bout 10 hours. never measured, just ran tape. All the lines are straight, some slightly wider at top or bottom
Sky Rider is getting LEDs under the playfield and behind the backglass. Leaving the visible lamps incandescent.
Sky Rider got a chime unit transplant (out with the Williams chimes, in with a Chicago Coin set of chimes via eBay). I've also got a parts on order to replace the chime bar grommets / washers as well as the bumpers under the plungers.
Duotron got a flipper coil upgrade (Orange Dot) after a brief sojourn into the land of the yellow dot (too strong for the game)
Duotron has, and Domino is scheduled, for 3" levelers in the back so I can play with the slope a bit; previously maxed out the 2" levelers. I'll probably spend some time leveling everything out somewhere along the way.
Also got in some adhesive back foam insulation (marine grade 1/2" stuff) that I'm gonna affix to the back doors of all machines - Sky Rider came with something (which is a bit yellow'd and probably full of nicotine) but it really does quiet the game down a bit and make the doors feel more solid, so I'm gonna take care of all three.
I've got a bunch of little projects with all three - Duotron has a score reel that is a little sticky (although it's been behaving lately), and I'd like to figure out the Domino coin and credit circuits (not sure if they work, not sure how they are set for free play, credit reel seems gummed up) as well as Sky Rider (set for free play, not 100% sure how, and the hi score award is set to add a ball which annoys me a little (I want to hear to knock!)
And meanwhile, it's not really all that much of a break for me - yoga studio is closed (I don't have to teach my usual 4x a week) but we're live streaming yoga classes 1-2 times per day (I'm the techie - lights, audio, streaming device) and my engineering work seems to be booming.

You better not have sex in there...
Currently replacing the rubber bands and waxing my de jp and bride of pinbot so I can sell/trade them once the craziness ends...

You only see "it" when lights are on
Hayfarmer... if you put glow-in-the-dark rubbers on your pinball machines, do they add to the Jimi Hendrix effect of the room?

Haha, always been a huge jimi fan
Quoted from pfcjimmy:Bringing this EBD back from the dead.
Hardtop complete and need to put it back together after a few parts from Marco show up.
Damn that looks great !

Looks pretty clean inside. Shouldn't be hard to get going.

Project time!
Working on Jacks Open to repaint cabinet, Nip-It to see what the playfield is like under the grime, and El Dorado for a top-shop-job.
Nip-it might leave due to faded/spotty playfield, but other two are certainly staying.

Everything normal here.
Tech support has been slow. I thought it would pick up some with more people home playing games. Maybe they are playing them now and not trying to mod or fix sh*t ?
LTG : )
Do I try to get every single issue fixed with current playing games, or go right to playfield swaps? Decisions decisions

Holly crap.
Finished up Addams Family! Looks like I’ll be laid off by Monday due to an indefinite statewide lockdown. Glad I stocked up on parts before things get tight financially... Spirits are crashing down, but at least I got all the time I need to hardtop my Taxi and restore my Robo-War. Those are next up.
Another interesting project I’ll plan to attempt is a restoration of my 1974 Sunfish Sailboat and trailer. I’d like to repaint and gel-coat it.

Hey terrapinmark! That Harlem looks great! I'm about to start my restoration soon. What brand and paint colors did you use for the cabinet?
Finally got TAF 100% operational again. Started with me tracing a diode i soldered backwards last June before I deployed, then returned to find the machine acting up. Whole thread about that.
Soon as that was fixed, Thing kick-out coil stopped working. Broken solder joint.
Soon as that was fixed, Bookcase started registering hits like crazy. Traced it to a bad connection at the molex connector underneath the PF. Once I figured that out, the wiring at one of the crimps failed, and I didn't have a spare female molex connector to perform the repair. Got to wait about a week, and the parts came in today.
That's finally fixed! No more credit dot!!

Thank you. And congrats on getting a Harlem. Great title. This game was restored by Chris Hutchins. It is my understanding that he used automotive paint for the three colors. He then added clear.
Pulled and serviced the time expander on Dr Who. Fixed one of the plungers, installed Cliffys, pulled out blue GI, etc. all was good, but when I finally got it back in, a different plunger stopped working. Crap!
I ain’t doing that again today!
