That seems like a massively bad idea to me. The purpose of that piece is to block glare from the chaser lights, while being inconspicuous. To have chrome there goes completely against that.

Not everything needs to be pointlessly "blinged" out. Seriously, the game is fantastic as-is. Just fire it up and put your time & effort into playing and enjoying it.
