I have to restore the cabinet of a Bally Cosmos.

My dilemma is this: should I repaint it as the original on the flyer in black (background) blue, white or as the later oringinal white (background) blue, white?
My own idea is that the cosmos, space is black with white stars, and as I look on the later games in the 80's it looks very good with black backgrouds like on Firepower.
It needs a flawless job for a good paintjob, but because of the high end restauration I want it to get (and the only one I think) it would be nice to get it as a early production one.
I read that the switch to white background was because of costs.
This one gets a paint job, new repro backglass, new legs and bolts, a good cleaning of the inside and outside, new bumper housing and caps, new flipper caps, new rubbers, new fuse holder (of course).
Hope to get it almost as new, not to new, but good enough for the next 50 years or so

Go with the black cab. It looks so much better and fits the theme better too.

I agree totally... that black + blue cabinet as seen on the flyer is sweet in every way... really makes the game pop with that classy touch.
