Hello to everyone who has managed to find this post and thank you Wfumed2 for posting this. While we did put that picture on our facebook page, at that time we hadn't intended it to go out to the pinball community quite yet. This was just a very early teaser pic for our current customers to get a preview of things to come. Anytime a pinball machine is seen in its early raw form it looks much more simple than it is. The graphics, toys/figures and lights all help add to machine's overall design. We have come a long way since that pictures was taken. As of today the overall design is 95% done, with some tweaks still to come. We will post a few more teaser pics for everyone here. Look for us at Free Play Florida in November to get a chance to see and play our new pinball machine for the first time. We hope to have it ready for production March of 2019. Look for updates on pinside and on TWIP or at suncoastpinball.com

Thanks to everyone at TPF who stopped by. The machines had someone on them almost the while time and they help up great. Both of the machines we took were prototypes, but close to the finished product physically. They were both set up in demo mode allowing people to flip them but without any game code. The toys are just prototypes and were not finished and polished but we wanted to show them off. Changing the art package really put us behind, since we only got the total package a couple weeks ago. That being said it was totally worth it! Donny did an amazing job and we couldn't be happier with the results. We are going to be hiring a second full time software engineer as well as contracting with a great software engineer, who has helped to develop several pinball machines, to help us get this done properly. There will be a couple tweaks to the playfield so stay tuned for more pics and updates.

Here is a sneak peek at the changes we have made to the ramps as well as our info flyer on the pinball machine. More info pics and videos will be coming soon!

You can not really see it, but we did add a shot to allow you to get back into the shooter lane and up to the roll overs. You have to knock down 2 of the drop targets to gain access, there is a gate allowing you to shoot for the shooter lane and auto kick it back up.

#49 4 years ago

Also, you can see a little bit of the new powder coated side rails. Hinges, lock down bar, apron and legs match

There is a scoop between the posts, it is part of several of the modes including the multiballs. We hope to start shipping by the beginning of June.

#57 4 years ago

Right now we have several prototypes and the line has started production but we are not sharing any numbers yet. The left ramp is petg to wire form and the right is petg. It will the same for production.

#59 4 years ago

Our first ringleader is painted and being shipped to us. We asked Donny to paint the first ones so our staff can copy them. They will all be hand painted. As always Donny did a great job!

Unfortunately we will not be at Golden State.

#87 4 years ago

We are still tweaking the manufacturing process of the ramps but that is the style and position that they will both be. Once we have them ready for production models the wireform ramps will look sharper, cleaner and be electro polished.

Check out our newest gameplay video. We will be posting new videos 1-2 times a week as we are adding new game code almost daily.

#91 4 years ago

The modes are working ..... I believe we have 5 modes coded in this video and 3 of them were activated in both videos. The animations are getting moved to the completion of a mode. We had used them as placeholders until we got more modes coded. Over the next couple weeks you will see more code, animations in the correct place and more graphics.

We have several original tracks of music but they all have the same feel. Since Donny's artwork is a bit edgy we wanted the music to reflect that. We are very lucky to be able to work with a great group of very talented people on the Cosmic Carnival project. The music, sfx and voices were done in collaboration with 3 individuals. Theo Green, Czarina Russell and Bart Hendrickson. Please Google all of them for more info. They have all worked on many big projects and blockbuster movies. Theo Green was nominated for an academy award for his work on Bladerunner 2049.

Production update: Our first 10 cabinets are either finished or close to finished. We have all parts for the first 5 machines in house and parts for the next 5 are in house or ordered. Also we are engraving and cutting the first numbered plates for the first 250 machines. And most exciting, out first production playfield is making it's way down the line!

Cosmic Carnival #1 has made it to it's new home safe and sound. Thanks to the MOD couple for sharing the pics and feedback.
We are training new people weekly to help get production moving quicker. It takes time to make sure everyone is properly trained so please bear with us as we make sure all Cosmic Carnival machines are built to exacting standards.
We hope to be up to 5 machines per week within the next 2 weeks and 10 machine per week within the next 4 weeks. Demand has exceeded expectations so a big thank you to all the people who are making Cosmic Carnival a success.
The next 4 machines are on the line and we are working hard to make sure they are out by next week.
We will be at Southern Fried next week with our 2 prototypes and we will have a couple machines with us for Jason over at Classic Game Rooms in Covington GA. Look for his booth for a look at one of our production models.
We will try to keep everyone updated as best we can

Production Update

Our production line is slowly getting up to speed. We are hiring new people every week and getting them trained. It takes time to get everyone trained properly but we are doing it slow to ensure quality. Right now we are able to produce 4-5 machines per week and hope to get it ramped up to 6-7 over the next few weeks and up to 10 a week in the next couple months. We will keep everyone updated as we progress.

Production update: Due to delays in playfield delivery we are a bit behind but still moving forward. Our team is working hard on sub-assembly to help ensure our line can move quickly once we receive our playfields. This week we would like to thank John at Elite Home Game Rooms in FL, Craig at Fun Billiards Game Room in TX and Mark with Doc Pinball in Indiana for their orders. Between all three, five machines are on the way to different parts of the country. Dealer machines are being shipped out weekly so please see your local dealer to pick up a new Cosmic Carnival.

Suncoast Pinball has decided to limit Cosmic Carnival to 100 pinball machines. We are going to fulfill all orders as we are working on machines #2 and #3. We have some very exciting developments we will be sharing in the next couple of months so please keep a lookout for more information.

Hope all is well with everyone..... to be honest we never look on pinside anymore but I just wanted to check in. While we apricate Jimmy and all he has done .... I will say his timeline story is full of 1/2 truths. He isn't outright lying but he isn't exactly telling the full story either. One of my biggest issues with his account is regarding his pay. While he is correct that he didnt get all or even most of his pay, he neglects to say that he turned down money half a dozen times. We even offered to put him on a weekly salary and he declined every time. At the time I thought he was just being nice since he knew things were tight. It is kind of crappy to turn down money over and over and then say, without prompting, that you barely got paid. While i do take issue with several others things that were said there is no point in trying rebuke it all. With all that said we thank Jimmy for his outstanding code work and willingness to continue to help people with our pinball machine. We would not have gotten it out without him! As most people know, or should know, pinball is not easy and we spent a lot of time and money putting together a system we believed in and in an industry we all love. While we have no plans to get back into pinball we still enjoy them and hope that others will continue to manufacture them for many years to come. We will continue to check in every year or two just to say hello . Thanks to everyone who supported us and keep flipping!
