This past weekend I tried to hook up an external subwoofer to my Corvette by connecting speaker wire to cabinet speaker then to the sub. When I turned the game on there was noise coming through the sound that was not part of the game audio. I believe something is wrong with the game's amp or something else on the audio board because for as long as I can remember whenever I first turn the game on there is a bunch of crackling and distortion coming out of the audio; not sure if it's coming out of the speakers in the backbox but I notice it coming from the cabinet speaker.

Does anyone know what I should check to see what is causing this issue?

Anyone have any ideas, maybe the amp on the sound board? I was thinking of swapping the sound board from my DH to see if that clears up the problem on Corvette and to see if I experience the same thing on DH with Corvette's board in it.

I don't remember the speaker wires ever making contact. Before I attempted to hookup the subwoofer the game would make a crackling and popping sound out of the speaker for about the first 60 seconds it was on. I have since disconnected my setup but I just had speaker wire soldered to each lug of the cabinet speaker and then those ran to the low-level inputs on the subwoofer. If there is any other information I can provide to help diagnose this, let me know please.
