Quoted from Whysnow:

Anyone else have love for vette? Any cool mods? Any powder coat?

When I bought my machine, the side rails and legs were purple powder coated.

FYI, here are a couple of old threads of my Corvette LED mods:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/corvette-drag-strip-under-lighting
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/sound-controlled-speaker-led-lights

I also added 7 Hot Wheel Corvettes, one representing each of the 7 generations:

Quoted from Whysnow:

I take it you did not like the powder based on the picture you posted without powder?
have any pictures from when it was powdered?

The purple powder coat is spectacular! Here is the link to what I bought:

Quoted from Whysnow:

I really like your diffuser under track lighting mod. Cool idea!
It looks like someone started to drill out my ramp to be able to replace the second pop light like you did but then stopped mid way (1 hole partially drilled). I was not sure why there would be a hole in the ramp at that spot but now I can see what they were thinking.

I would drill it again. I have experience working with plastic. Go slow and use a dull drill bit. Since then I replaced the pop bumpers lights with LEDs. I've installed LEDs in all the locations under the play field and in the back box except for the flashers.

Mine always speaks in English...

Mine speaks German, French, and English. When speaking German and French it translates with English subtitles!

Quoted from Slim64:

Joined yesterday. What a fun game.

It will get a few small tasteful mods. (Some LEDs, light up the dragstrip, and a shifter ball for the shooter)

Here are a couple of ideas for you:

Quoted from BigLebowski:

My second question is: which plastic was here before it broke off?

Quoted from BigLebowski:

I´m about to reassemble my playfield and I stumbled over a mismatch between the manual and my pictures. It´s this area:

Check my pictures in post #14 and #28, Gate #2 has a post on it:

Quoted from Slim64:

The post you are referring to looks like letter K in the pic from the manual

You are correct and BigLebowski is missing it on his gate #2.

Quoted from Joce:

I thought the race track was dark. So I added some light.....

Looks good. I had not thought of using blue and red LEDs. Here is a link to my version:
https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/corvette-drag-strip-under-lighting

The extra 3 LEDs at the starting line made a big difference.

Quoted from Iizi:

My Corvette is missing Route 66 sign. Im making one myself and have already vectorised it but I don’t know correct size. Could someone measure height and width of original plastic?

The Plastic is 39mm X 70mm (height X width)
The decal part is 35mm X 67mm (height X width)
There are 3 rivets attaching this to the metal bracket.

Quoted from Iizi:

Thanks! My Corvette project finally getting finished. Still need to make wires for the engine and adjust ZR-ramp to feed upper flipper smooth.

That looks great!
I added 7 hot wheels each representing one of the 7 generations of Corvettes C1 - C7. (The 7th is on the back wall ramp)

Quoted from chrismoore701:

How did you attach them? Glue?

I used double sided foam tape. I had to double up mine to get the right thickness. The tape can always be removed.
The trick was finding all 7 generations of hot wheels.

C1 1953 - 1962
C2 1963 - 1967
C3 1968 - 1982
C4 1984 - 1996
C5 1997 - 2004
C6 2005 - 2013
C7 2014 - today

Quoted from chrismoore701:

I still collect hot wheels and i am sure i have them. But i am partial to the c2. Have one in dads garage. Thought about swapping out the drag cars with hot wheels. What are your thoughts on that?

I thought about replacing them too with hot wheels. Decided it wasn't worth the effort when I did the under track lighting.
