Quoted from Clizifer:

thanks, i finally had a chance to make a few of these over the weekend. i have 10 available for anyone whos interested. shoot me a dm and we can work it out.

That clear intake manifold cover you created is exactly what I always felt the LT-5 Engine toy sorely needed, since the engine it is modeled after, does not have a huge empty cavity in the top. It left Bally looking like the engine was disassembled in a state of rebuild. I DM'd you to see if you hopefully have at least one of those awesome looking covers left. Corvette Rules!!!

I fully agree with you, I always felt it looked incomplete, that's how I came up with the idea for the cover. I wanted it to look like the actual intake top of the engine. Anyways i'll be in contact, Thanks

Regarding the Skid Ramp.... Is there no default ramp guard on the right ramp entry side ? If there is, mine is missing.... The right side of the ramp is sound and no piece is shot off. Looks weird as the edeg of the right side is totally exposed.

Thanks
Matt

#354 4 years ago

no, there´s no default guard at the skid pad ramp

Hi

I need the entry gate in front of the engine part no A19110. Mine was torn off and probably thrown away by a past operator as the ramp was totally wrecked

Is anyone sitting on a spare and can help me here ?

Thanks
Matt

Spoiler alert! I won the whole collection. Only took me 3 weeks of owning it. Ok, I cheated and used the buy in button. But next time....

Stand-up target decals.... Does anyone make cool custom ones, or know where to find any ?

I bought from one place but they were wrong size all over and just rubbish.

Thanks
Matt

#362 3 years ago

I hadn't thought of that or seen any. There is a lot going on I'm not sure if they would stand out? I can see pictures of turbos for the boost and the kickback a muffler?

Recently somebody approached me re. the big metal piece in the Corvette backbox that resembles the outline of the US. The piece was missing from his machine, probably because a previous owner threw it out to avoid more damage to the translite. Anyway, he asked me if he could reproduce that piece on a 3D printer. So I did a scan of the piece and developed a 3D model of it, which is ready to be printed on a 3D printer.

In case somebody else has use for it just pm me with your email address and I can send you the model.

Can anyone tell me how to get Race Today on the default setting of medium? If I change it to extra easy it’s lit on ball 1 but how do I earn it?
The rules say each 8 spark plugs but on my game 8 spark plugs lights extra ball

Recently got a corvette pin and we are really enjoying it but I have two questions.

1). It appears to be on prototype roms (pa-1)and I plan on ordering updated roms. I don’t think it’s a prototype or anything cool like that just an early production game but the middle board serial doesn’t match all the others (starts with 527 vs all other boards are 53336100241). Did they use a different board on these early ones or was this replaced? Previous owner said it was never routed and he bought it from the original owner so boards should be original.

2). The diverter has broken my ramp. It’s doesn’t affect play but is there something to fix that. I don’t see a cliffy and I am sure that ramp is not attainable anymore. If it is please let me know.

Thanks in advance. This is a great playing pin

I am using PX4 no need any change among the boards. If I were you I'd invest a programmer instead, very easy to use.

The missing infamous front entry gate no A-19110 on many Corvettes....

I have been searching high and low for two years now on every continent except the poles. Nobody has bothered to answer which after time became obvious since the darn gate as a spare is impossible to find....

I eventually learned pin-guys in the business longer than me would simply disengage from a deal if either of the gates were missing and walk away.

It is clear to me why this gate together with the rear gate behind the engine block is so darn impossible to find... The original front and rear plastic ramps that held the gates were britle, delicate, often cracked and got shot to hell.. The plastic was (is) very thin. To the point when wrecked you could never support a good re-attachment of the gates. Back in the days lazy and greedy operators would just rip the gates out, throw them away and duck tape whatever was left of the ramps. The game would still be partly playable to a non-pinhead.

Well screw it I will produce my own gates and help other Vette fans upon demand....

Can someone take a pic of the ramp where the diverter opens? I might try to see if I can get a protector made

#370 3 years ago

Does the race track run on 12V ? I was thinking of adding blue and red led strips under the track but only have them lighted once a race is active. Anyone played with this idea ? I don't want them lighted all the time..

Don't have a manual but could figure it out. Just if anone here knew right away ?

Thanks

Not sure what and where you mean ?

Does the left/right side of the ramp break because of the diverter slams the walls over time ?

Let me know if you need further pics.

Here goes..

Thanks! That’s exactly what I needed. It’s the left side that broke on mine where the indent is that has it open so you can shoot to the back

Yeah I have my worries here as well. That diverter really slams into the left wall. I do have repro ramps that are thicker than the original ones. But, being thicker it closes the distance to the diverter as well taking a harder impact. I'm hoping the ramp is solid enough to take the abuse... But as years go by, I don't know.....

I see no possibility to adjust the diverter. It seems to be locked in one position.

My Corvette is 99% shopped and finished and I have never played it That banging diverter concerns me though..

Help..

The diverter on the ramp... Could someone pls post or send me a pic of the underside of the p.f where the diverter rod comes through up close.... How does the shaft/arm slide over the rod ? I cannot get the locking screw to line up on the flat surface on the rod. I need pls to see the rest position of the shaft and what angle it is...

Super thanks in advance..

Hi guys! I just picked one up last month. what a game! I'm absolutely impressed by Gomez on his first PF design. Truly, this could be the best rookie effort by a 90s designer ever. The only other first game I would put up against it are IMDN and POTC by Elwin and Meunier, respectively.

I'm impressed by the great implementation of the upper flipper, which did not turn out to be a stalwart in Gomez's designs afterward. I wonder why he abandoned third and/or fourth flippers on his subsequent games...

Anyway, this game is such a treat. GREAT ramps, awesome shots, sounds fit the theme, and music which is energy packed and enjoyable. I LOVE the BG art, but the PF and cabinet are a bit skimpy. Overall, I am a proud owner, and grateful to have found a really nice example out here in SoCal.

Incidentally, I LOVE Corvete Cars. They are the icon of American Muscle (arguably against Camaro, Charger, Challenger, and Viper or Mustang). I look forward to owning a real Corvette someday!

Cheers Friends!

Glad you are part of the club! Turning the keys on the coin door not unlocks the bar but a real driving experience. My wife owns a corvette of the same year and it is very similiar. Hard to describe but its the sounds and structure? This summer the plan is to go to Bowling Green KY and play Gomez's original version with the shifter. If they still have them?

Howdy all. New to pinball, sharing an interest with buddies in my neighborhood. Love this site! Have always been a Corvette fan, so this game made sense! Bought mine back in October, and finally have it back at 100% (fresh flipper rebuilds). In Greer SC, willing to learn more and help others as I can.

Hey everyone, I have some extra light up diecast Corvettes that I made. They are 1:43 scale Matchbox ultra diecast cars, very detailed and fit perfect in the Corvette pinball machine. I have added tail lights to all of them and a couple of them have headlights as well. The LED lights run off 12v power which is easily taken from the machines power supply. I've added a few to my personal machine and they look awesome, check back to posting 310 to see examples of where I put them. Anyways if anyone is interested let me know, I can also replicate any of the mounts I made for my machine if you want as well. The cars in the picture are the ones I have available.
