Hi guys ,
The pinball fever "h1-n1" is back again at home.
Have seen this morning a Corvette machine just 5 minutes from here for 1100 euros.

Is this a good machine ? What do you prefer Star trek TNG (850 Eur) or this fabulous Corvette i have seen at Robin's Koog ?

And what to check ?

Thanks for your help - .
Lionel.

Corvette is one of my all time favourites - but you already figured that out as it's in the Koog collection The price of 1100 euros is okay if it's working well and in nice shape. Comparing it with STTNG is rather hard, they are totally different games. Well, there are some parallels: both great layout, both excellent rulesheet, both challenging, both a cool theme. I would buy 'em both (Oh wait, I did)

Make sure the LT5 Engine is working properly. There is a test for it in the tests menu. Look for the usual wear spots. There will be wear around the garage shot (in the center) but this is normal. If it's not too big you can cover it with a protector (I think Cliffy made one for this game). Make sure the right ramp is not broken (near the entrance). And of course: the racetrack. This is the part that breaks down the most. It will be very noisy with the glass removed (that's normal). But make sure the cars both go all the way up and down the track , without hickups. This is a hard-to-find part, so you'll want to have this working.

Final tip: be quick! Corvette is a wanted game and there are not so many for sale in our area (France/Belgium/Netherlands).

Nice to hear you Robin !

Go for the appointment , this evening after Working hours.
OK , il will check the points you have noticed. Thank's for this help

I'm afraid to agree about this deal...
I'm not sure , the return at home with one more / new Pinball will be easy. Negociating will be necessary.6 machines at home ..
Perhaps a new business ? a lot of people at work designed lb45 as Pinball specialist now , and would like to have one machine. I will sell it in case of mistakes at home
I'll post tomorrow morning the situation !

So,
I drove this Corvette . Fun , but lighter than a Last Action ( "To be or not to be") viriler ? (sorry for my vocabulary )

Upper area (up the buppers) is not very visible , a little complicated when you arrive.
Engine worked , Cars too, rubbers were KO, Some bulbs too.

The playfield is in BAD shape , like broken up.
Paint black on upper cabinet not perfect , and stripes on sides.

Seems dangerous to pay 1100 euros for a playfield a little desintegrated now and totally in the next future.

So decision is taken : "Not to be" .
This one is for another pinballer.
Grateful about your help very useful.
Lionel.

Thats unlucky for you Ib45, but it is best to leave it be.
I recently purchased a Corvette, without viewing it first.
When it arrived, i was shocked as to the condition of it.
I asked him to take it straight back, which he did and got my money back.
It was dissapointing, because i really liked the machine and it's theme, and as Robin says, they don't come up to often.

Yes , i agree - but Money is little difficult to earn - 1100 euros is the money my son earn in a month.)
(Some paint as gone on the left rail too (take a look)) Red Bulb cap of car left (right on the rail is gone..) ) no for this price.

I'll find another one,..

I agree with Leigh better to walk away from that one

Too bad, it's a great pin. But 1100 is too much if it has playfield damage. Plastics, ramps are all rather easily replaced. But a playfield.... Hmm.
