Stern, 2003The cabinet on my tspp is lovely but I'm worried about future wear. I've put felt protectors on but wondered if the metal ones that stern now use would be better.
Also what is the correct procedure to install - cut out round leg protector and then remove that part of decal and refit? Or would a score line round leg protector do the job.
Don't want to start cutting if that's not necessary.
I think the felt protectors are fine, but with the metal leg protectors, I just screw them on.
Aren't all TSPP screened vs decaled? I think metal protectors mostly avoid decal wrinkling.
I'm a little confused by the metal protectors. You protect metal from wearing the cabinet with more metal? I use plastic.
The metal protector is screwed into the cabinet, thus it can't move relative to the decals. This metal protector keeps the leg from having direct contact with the decal. Thus, no wrinkling from movement of the leg relative to the cab.
