I noticed when I re-built the left flipper on my Scared Stiff, that the right one has the standard FL-11630 coil, while the left has the FL-11629. I did not replace the coil when I did the re-build.

From what I have learned, 629 is the strongest flipper coil available and (according to what I've read) is used in SS, but I have a 630 on the right. My concern, is if the 629 will cause damage? It does indeed launch the ball harder.

I'm not sure if this was replaced by a P.O. or if it came that way from the factory.

As far as I know the 11629's are the correct coils for SS. Having said that, I put in weaker coils when I restored my SS given the balls were wicked fast on a new CC PF.

29s are the correct flipper coils for SS.
