I've always thought Cornhole is the less painful version of horseshoes. . . should you get hit with the projectile. 
Makes me think back to the carefree days of unregulated lawn sports when I could fling a giant dart at a ring and hope not to impale the opposing player. Anyone else remember Jarts? "An Outdoor Game for the Family!"
