    Depends on how extensive the damage is..... Its always good to fill the area with the missing chunk of material to use minimal filler like bondo or pro wood filler. On my WW I routed out the damaged area and clamped & glued a new piece of wood to the cabinet and used a very small amount of filler.

    Yep.
    It needed it bad,the original paint was planking with assorted dings and dents.

    Someone cut the cab to fit a custom coin door.
    The only way to properly fix it was making a new cabinet front.
