You need the premium because drop targets are awesome and it gives you more of them to shoot at (11) than any game I can think of in the past 25 years or so other than Hobbit. Also, the up/down actuated ramp gives you a left orbit to right flipper shot which adds nontrivial depth to the game and is missing on the pro.
I think those two items alone are worth the premium, but play both and decide for yourself. The illuminated apron panels, disco ball, 3D truck model, and additional character figures are cool items too, but nonessential.
I actually slightly prefer the pro cabinet and backbox art though.

Lighting is basically the same, both games have a handful of RGB inserts and red GI accents. Premium has a couple of additional spots for the added figurines, and the apron panels are backlit in typical premium/LE fashion.
