Controlling flippers on iron maiden

With all the time on my hands, I was going to try to make it to run to the hills even though I know I have no chance lol. After watching a couple people on youtube make it, I was wondering how they are able to control their flippers. They will have two balls on their bottom left flipper staged and still are able to flip the upper left flipper without the bottom left moving. Same with the right. I don't know if this is an adjustment in the menu but I can't do it on mine. Any suggestions?
