Quoted from newpinbin:

Just got this NIB. Will this be a problem in the future??
[quoted image]

Yes and it's a problem now too.

I used to think of JJP as a "premium" pin producer but now they are just another Stern. Buy a NIB = take a gamble and assume issues will not be resolved unless you're lucky.

Quoted from Mike_J:

But would a judge find that argument to be reasonable?

Sure, it's a true statement albeit weaselly. The problem with that argument (at least the part about not affecting gameplay) is that many other features on a pin don't affect gameplay (side art falling off? legs rusting and corroding due to improper plating?) but would piss off anybody it happened to. These expensive premium games are treated as a work of art as well and in my opinion they better be damn near PERFECT for the asking price.

I don't own any JJP games but I am definitely not even interested in entertaining the thought of buying one ever after this fiasco.

Quoted from paul_8788:

To me it looks more like shredded plastic than clear coat. Maybe the post was overtightened and shredded some off the base of it? Hard to tell from pics.

That's what clear coat looks like when it lifts.
