My distributor wrote me asking for final payment on my JP2 LE. They should be shipping soon.
Do you feel the clear problems have been solved? Would you hold off and wait till this problem is 100% figured out with the chance of missing out on an LE?

Quoted from PanzerFreak:We are still seeing new reports of upper post chipping on Jurassic Park games even with the blank area around posts. Chipping around sling posts seems eliminated but I'm not sure why it's still an issue at this post right below the upper right flipper. Is this area chipping because the ball hits the post so often causing movement?
This makes me wonder if Stern changed anything with their playfield clear process or only made the no artwork change around posts? If it is the latter then the root cause of chipping may not have been addressed. Then again we've heard reports that Stern uses multiple companies to make playfields so maybe that's why their playfield QC is so hit or miss.

The post gets loose with use. It happened to mine. I put a silicone washer under the post and locktite on the nut. It’s hasn’t come loose since.
When the post is loose it bangs up the clear coat causing chips. Keep your posts tight.
Quoted from Who-Dey:I think the EPA restrictions have made it almost impossible for these companies to make good playfields anymore but that isn’t the consumers problem. I don’t know what the answer is but it definitely sucks for the customers when they pay 6-13K for a pinball machine and it has a playfield with bad clear coat on it and then you get totally ignored by the manufacturer. Stern wont even answer their damn phone anymore or return emails. This is absolutely HORRIBLE customer service!
I agree. But The CGC and Spooky games I own are worlds better as far as clear coat quality. If they can make a good clear coat surely stern and JJP can.
Quoted from fnosm:Awesome news. Thanks for providing this info so we can recognize the distributors that go out of their way to support their customers.

I had a fantastic experience with operation pinball when I purchased my Deadpool premium. Great people to work with in all ways.
