Personally it's a shame that the deep pocketed guys or the operators keep buying at this stage.

I feel sorry for JJP and Stern but it's up to them to take it up with whoever makes their pfs or if made in-house then it's a very steep learning curve, but if we keep buying defective shit they'll keep churning it out. How long ago did stern first have issues? Why would they care when we apparently don't?

Quoted from yancy:

It's only an issue when the money stops rolling in.

Agreed, but surely by keeping your order you're helping them with their decision to not address this? Why not pull the order until you know it's resolved? The LE might come next but who knows what stock of questionable playfields are dribbled out after? I'd want to know that the manufacturer will support the distributor 100% on any pf issue and Stern have shown over the last few years that they would rather move the goalposts, or in this case put washers under them....

Quoted from Yelobird:

I believe in his previous post Yancy said he was holding out to see if the LE's are good to make his decision. Sounds like a sound decision to me.

Yeah sorry re read that and edited my post accordingly.

Any comment from Keith Elwin on this? He must be gutted, knocks JP2 out of the park, looks to be even better than Maiden and then totally out of his control preorders get pulled left right and centre and Stern don't even address the issue.

I'm sure he's thrilled they've quickly pushed the official announcement of the highly anticipated Elvira to paint over the cracks.

Stern should recall and replace all affected tables, sure, shipping and man hours add up but surely this is a critical condition that can't be ignored at this stage?

I understand as operators the need to have new machines on site but how's about you all hold off buying nib for 3 or 4 months so stern actually give a shit about us other non-operator enthusiasts? Long term the resale value of your 2nd hand off site pins won't be so bad as a result either...

Quoted from bellbrand:

I wonder what qualifies for a replacement.

Persistence.

Quoted from BigSilverPin:

My 3 month wonka has more dimpling than my 15 yr old TSPP

People will tell you it's because its 'evened out'. That bugs me because its bs. I get the logic, lots of tiny dents all flattening out over time but then wheres the obvious ridge when the slightly lower dented area (that's flattened out over time) meets the flat no airball area without any dents, like the out lanes? I've got a stern potc, notorious for airballs, with zero dents, craters pooling etc. Guess you and I are just lucky?
