Quoted from SpookyCharlie:

this one with 35,000 plays ...
His other game is over 50,000 plays

Quoted from rotordave:

I hope the guy is getting $1 a play!

Quoted from rotordave:

$6000 into $50,000 in a few years ... That’s just like the operators tell me it was like in the 80s and 90s.

Quoted from o-din:

Here comes the "pinball is not an investment" crew.

Quoted from HookedonPinonics:

It is a location TNA that was on free play.

from a jersey jack factory tour:

at the 11:45 mark, jack comments on his companys pinball playfields:

"so uh our playfields come in these boxes and, you know, they get QCd. if theres anything wrong with them, they get rejected. and really these playfields, um they made by mirco in germany. he does an amazing job. and uh, theres a significant cost to these. but this is your whole game. this is what youre looking at. this is the building block of the game. so if its not done the right way, uh you know your game is kinda worthless."

Quoted from Darscot:

I wonder how many hours it takes a company to assemble a machine.

for those discussing the time required for a playfield swap, at the end of the hobbit assembly line [26:49], jack answers the question "how many hours does it take to make a machine start to finish ?" "it takes about 24 hours, 24 man/woman hours".

when it comes to JJP and stern fixing their current clear coat issues,

i know if they put their minds to it,
i know they really can do it.

but its gonna take money
a whole lotta spending money
its gonna take plenty of money
to do it right, child

its gonna take time
a whole lot of precious time
its gonna take patience and time, um
to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it, to do it
to do it right !

dont be surprised if JJP employs the same 'no art around posts' fix on their replacement POTC and newer wonka playfields.

and dont lose sight of the artwork that you cant even see [pun intended]. this pic of an unpopulated ACNC playfield better illustrates all the areas where art has been cut back, but also shows an entire snake skeleton inhabiting the orbit that is obscured in the actual game.

Quoted from Chambahz:

“sweeping it under the rug” has a much more sinister meaning, in my opinion.

what connotation do you give the term 'cover-up'?

from wikipedia:

A cover-up is an attempt, whether successful or not, to conceal evidence of wrongdoing, error, incompetence or other embarrassing information. In a passive cover-up, information is simply not provided; in an active cover-up, deception is used.

The expression is usually applied to people in positions of authority who abuse power to avoid or silence criticism or to deflect guilt of wrongdoing. Perpetrators of a cover-up may be responsible for a misdeed, a breach of trust or duty, or a crime.

... cover-up involves withholding incriminatory evidence ...

A cover-up involving multiple parties is a kind of conspiracy.

the recent talk is primarily regarding stern. what is the latest on responses/reconciliation with JJP on wonka and POTC? in the POTC chipping thread, customers who had received personal assurances seem to be feeling a little left out in the cold. at one point it appeared jack was done running away from his problems, had jumped on board, and was sailing off into the sunset.
