Quoted from ctl723:

Just had a chance to play JP2 for the first time on location. Neat layout, ramp shots are really satisfying. Don't love the skillshot, and the overall theme integration is a bit lacking beyond generic-dinosaur-adventure.
Not sure how long it's been there, but it also has some unfortunate chipping in a number of locations. It was in a lineup of modern games and you could see similar failures on Wonka, Guardians, Munsters. The only newer game that didn't seem to have any playfield issues was Deadpool.[quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image][quoted image]

At least the clear that's chipping on that GOTG didn't take the paint off with it, I could deal with that.

It's kinda hard to figure out how this could eventually get addressed in a way that would assure potential buyers that they've fixed whatever is causing these problems without admitting it's a real problem and they should be replacing them for free. Perhaps Stern will be the one to actually step up and do so but I'd guess it would still be done very quietly so that only the squeakiest of wheels would have theirs replaced with a populated PF.

Quoted from Utesichiban:

What a shit show. Is Churchhill cabinets and Chicago Gaming the only company that knows how to make a good playfield?

Buthamburg does a really nice job but on a much smaller scale of course.

Quoted from cosmokramer:

He has also had to send out replacement playfields due to ghosting inserts, just ask soulrider911.
Making playfields is hard...

Clearly it is. At least he took care of them, I honestly had not heard of that. I don't believe we've seen any problems out of the ones Bader is doing for A.P., though I have wondered if they use those more opaque inserts to prevent any minor ghosting from being visible should it occur.

Quoted from cosmokramer:

The issue most people will have is not the actual process of moving components from playfield A to playfield B...it will be the prep work (drilling, removing clear from hole locations, resealing) that will be the most daunting. This is where most "incidents" would occur, such as chipping/cracking of the clear.
That being said I guess I just shot down my own statement that 20 hours is enough time...add another 4 hours for new playfield prep.

A lot of people won't have the space and equipment to do these swaps either even if they could do the physical labor.

Quoted from epotech:

are you billing them for the time it takes to build & install it?

Yes and they are paying him in black dust.
