I hope everyone gets satisfaction from their manufacturer and distributor. Everybody knows that resale values matter in our hobby. Anyone that suggests otherwise is lying.

Dude, you’ve always been a Stern Fanboi. No one thinks otherwise. Just know that. We see right through you. It’s ok. But it’s also not.

I was just at a showroom with many pins, and WW from JJP had minor pooling and a couple recent Sterns did too, including JP.

I brought home a NIB MMr - with a born on date of Sept. 2017 - and the playfield is flawless. Beautiful glossy clear and no pooling. CSC seems to be doing it right.

Talking out of his ass. I’ll take one of those machines where the clear coat wore out after 90 days please. Because they were better than the crap Stern is shipping now.

And if the game was played ANYWHERE but a private home, it’s not HUO.

They don’t. I don’t. But I want value, and as fun as some Stern games are, Im not seeing it. I also want accountability. Stern raises prices, lowers standards, and keep doing it “because they can”. And only reacts when the market gets real strident. Well, I want more from a company that gets my money.

Their behavior is unbecoming. It’s disappointing. I want Stern to succeed, making awesome pinballs that I want to buy and that I’m willing to buy. But with an occasional exception they don’t, and I consider it a big let down.

BTW, I just dropped 8 grand + on MMr, and I couldn’t be happier about that. The quality is outstanding and the code is complete. And it’s fuuuuuuuunnnnnnnnn.

I couldn’t see dropping that much bread for a Stern made game. Not these days.

Price and Value are two sides of the same coin. If the price goes up, the value should as well. You reference TWD. That was 6 years ago Ice. If you can’t acknowledge that Stern makes Pinballs now with cheaper materials and parts than they did then pop another top and have at it. But that BS don’t fly.

Yup. And plastic aprons. And compare the wiring in a modern Stern to an old B/W. Hell, probably even to an old Stern. Like strands of hair. And of course, these unrepairable node boards, compared to the bullet proof - and fixable - SAM system.
