Quoted from Betelgeuse:

Wasn't WWE the first Spike system game? GOT and KISS were also before GB, to name a few.

actually i believe the first Spike game was one of their homepins. Transformers? Spiderman? I remember seeing a one off TWD at a show somewhere that was powered by Spike too.

Quoted from Max_Badazz:

Correct. Warpy my LZ playfield was replaced by Stern with a fully populated one. New one is flat as can be, no chipping, no pooling, and considering how much the ball flies around, minimal dimples.

My replacement is the same, the playfield looks perfect- big thumbs up for Stern and my distributor Betson for taking care of the problem in a timely manner. I won't think twice next time I'm interested in a NIB Stern title.

Yep.
No need to do shit when you have a 5000 game backlog (as Stern does) or 1000s as JJP does.
Prices keep rising
People keep buying
And here we are ...

you're right- Stern doesn't need to do anything if a playfield is bad, but they do. I had the unfortunate situation of being a sent a game with a warp playfield. I had to send Stern pictures showing the problem and they then sent me a fully populated playfield replacement once the game was on the line again. Stuff happens all the time with companies- it how they take care of the problem that matters. I'll feel confident the next time i purchase a NIB Stern. I've also had great customer service from AP and Spooky too.

Quoted from vid1900:

CPR has been making digitally printed playfields for ~3 years now.
I have not had a single customer tell me that the ink has been lifted off with the clear or pooled up around the posts.
CPR has not had to remove the artwork from around the posts.
CPR has not had to make their mini-post holes smaller.
CPR has not had to tell customers to put giant metal washers under the posts.
If there ever was an acid-test, it would have to be the Rolling Stones CPR playfield with the 2 posts directly in front of the flippers, right?

don't forget about the 2 switch-posts on RS. those take a pounding. That will put the oversized hole theory to the test (which i have faith CPR will pass with flying colors).

Quoted from Multiballmaniac1:

Now the left ramp on Mandolorian is breaking already on some games. Thinner plastic. See Mando thread. More money for cheaper builds. So glad I am done with nib.

the difference is Stern will stand behind their products. i have zero reluctance to purchase Stern NIB. Same with AP and Spooky.
