just run the pipe and DIY, run two zones, and zip tie it to the re-bar . u can do it man! and the pipe it cheap.

    Never pass code.

Lookin good. I hope they compact the floor area really well so the doesn't crack.

    Quoted from Max_Badazz:

well they filled in the trenches and added the gravel (and dug out where the columns will be). Slab will be poured next week. Not very exciting right now......framing will start in a couple weeks.

Nice progress. I suppose your property taxes will be going up. Have any idea how much?

    Quoted from Patofnaud:

That's an understatement Major flooding, Rt 93 southbound closed due to flooding/accidents... I was looking for an Ark...

    Could be worse......could be snow.

How you going to insulate the 2nd story floor?

    #53 9 years ago
    Quoted from Max_Badazz:

They are going to box it in with heavy insulation, and all of the hot air ducts will run under there as well. There are no windows downstairs either and the furnace will be running, so it won't be too cold to start with. I went with carpet upstairs instead of tile to add a little warmth too.

Sounds good. I used 3/8 inch memory foam pad under my carpet, it acts as a vapor barrier and springs back much better then the chip foam. 3/8 inch is just soft enough for bare feet. Got it at Menards when they had their 11% rebate. The 11% rebate will start again this coming Sunday, Oct 26.

Have you looked into some bright yellow padding for those 2 metal posts. If one of those came down you'd be in a world of hurt.

You could wrap them in blinking led rope lights.

Now the big question.....what ya gonna do with the ceiling?

    #80 9 years ago
    Quoted from Max_Badazz:

fans will have black lights in them

Your going with black light carpet?

    Quoted from Max_Badazz:

only 5 steps up and an extra wide doorway.

I'm confused, if the games come in and go out via the garage, how many steps is that.

    Quoted from centerflank:

You totally need the Amish elevator like PMWolf has!!!

What is that? 2 Amish guys haul your games up and down for you. No really what is that?

    #97 9 years ago
    Quoted from centerflank:

It was a small elevator built by the local Amish people near Pete, small platform cutout wide enough to put a pin on and has a small motor to move the cables on the pulleys. Ill see if I can locate a pic.....

Ohhhh kind of like a dumb waiter.

I see and with a 30X40 room he could wall it off and use it for a cloths closet when not needed. Cool.

    Quoted from edcianci:

stop being wimps and carry them up the old fashion way like I do

You must be a gorilla then.

Dang that's nice. What color is the ceiling going to be again?

    #183 9 years ago
    Quoted from mattosborn:

I can't wait to take a dump in that Ice Ice Bathroom....

I hope it has an exhaust fan then.

    Quoted from meSz:

Am I the only one that is liking the garage more? Max no offense intended but that garage is nice !!!

Maybe not more but if your a car guy like me I love to have one that size. Mine is only 24X36. But it does have a 10ft ceiling.

    #205 9 years ago

So I take it the games are going back to back down the middle of the room?

    #215 9 years ago
    Quoted from redmamanora:

I believe he posted a diagram of the locations of the pins and other games.

Oh that's right. I found it. Thanks.
