    The big question here is how far is the TV from the box/sender. Realistically, HDMI is pretty reliable with a good quality cable for about 30ft. I know some people that have gone longer and had no issue. I know some people that have had nothing but issues beyond that. So, YMMV.

    So, maybe coax is a good solution for you, maybe not. There's a ton of variables involved.

    For HDMI splitting, this is a pretty decent box for the price. We use it in our church setup.

    For HDMI over lengths greater than 30' I wouldn't use anything else but HDBaseT anymore. This gets you ethernet as well. But, while the best solution and now an industry standard, not cheap (north of $200 per TV).
