I have 7.5 buffered boards in my ECLE and have never had an issue. You can send single boards to JJP for repair is something goes wrong and they are easy to replace and find replacement boards. The 2.0 is supposedly dimmer and you wont readily find replacements. IMO the 2.0 importance is overstated/ I do have a 2.0 kit but have not felt the need to do anything except leave it in the box.
