I have a project firepower incoming which needs quite abit of work. I was thinking of replacing all connectors and headers with molex for reliability and future proofing. I need to do some work on the wireing so thought id do that at the same time. Is this something you guys do?

Quoted from KenLayton:

I agree. You are doing the right thing by replacing the connectors (male and female) in the machine to keep it reliable for many more years to come. Don't forget to install a remote battery holder too so the cpu board doesn't get corroded.
Great Plains Electronics and Big Daddy Enterprises sells all the connector sizes used in pinball machines.

I have an nvram on the way

so are all the headers on all the boards .156"?

is there a list anywhere of all the connectors needed for the machine?

Quoted from GListOverflow:

I definitely like to replace all of the male .156" headers on System 3-7. Crimping new contacts on all of the plug wires is kind of a whole other level of time and effort commitment though, and something I would probably skip wherever possible.

think after restoring the cab and repairing the loom whacking a few connectors on is no biggie lol
