Not super familiar with this product, but just to confirm what is the suspected correct hook up: You're going from Pinsounds line output (not headphone output) into some aux line level input on the AV system, correct?
Not sure what the *normal* amount of noise on this kind of hookup for these specific games would be. Possible impedance mismatch? Perhaps someone with more experience with these specific products can shed some light on this.

You really don't want to use the headphone out into an A/V amp in most cases, as you will usually be running into some line level input of the amp.
