While playing the other night, the upper (back end of pf) GI string went out. All GI fuses are fine (checked with multi-meter). I checked all TIP102s and none are shorted open. I tried unplugging and replugging the GI connectors. No luck. D25 and D27 are already hard wired with 18 gauge (diode removed) and the connection is good.

Obviously I must be missing something. Can anyone help?

Cold/cracked solder joint? Reflow some solder and check continuity on the pin in question?

Did you check to make sure all bulbs didn't burn out?

Quoted from mrgregb123:

Did you remove the fuses off the board to test? GI fuses are definitely ones that need to be removed from the board to test because of the low ohms of the transformer circuit. It will make a blown fuse measure good in the circuit.

Use your multimeter (put in on audible for the beep) and "ohm" out from the connector on the board to one of the GI sockets, make sure there is continuiity all the way, if there isn't, work your way closer and if there is a broken/pinched/open wire you should be able to find it.

OR with the power on, do you have voltage on the pin in question? if so, work your way out towards the GI

Thanks guys. Ended up being the diode that Williams later figured out should be hardwired instead. Two of the GI strings (D25, D27) were already modded this way but one that wasn't had a cold solder joint. Hard wired it. Back in action.
