Congo DMD seems maybe on the way out. Has a few hyoerbright pixels. More striking is a vertical scrolling band as shown. Any idea how I fix this short of replacing DMD ?

I replaced c28 and c42 though hate it was a bit hacked due to what Marco sent me. Anyway I have a brighter DMD but the high background issue is worse not better

I should add this is not a DMD issue as I can connect it to another machine and this issue doesn't exist

Would a color DMD just solve this or would I be looking at the same issues ?

Ok would a complete HV rebuild help ? Is this a HV problem or something else ? I'm just at a loss for where to go other than to get a new driver which seems to be in ridiculously short supply.

Quoted from PinballManiac40:

Measure the voltages at the DMD. If the voltages are too high, it can be needing a HV rebuild. In that case, you can upgrade to ColorDMD as it would not need the High Voltages (-112v, -100v, 62volts)

Thanks will do

Quoted from djh00000:

Those don't look like the correct caps.

They are by value but Marco sells these for the WPC and says they will fit the WPC95 games too. Bit misleading obviously Well they will but the WPC has axial caps and WPC95 has both connectors on same side so you have to run a jumper up to the other lead

Quoted from LTG:

Same issues. Bad signal is a bad signal. No matter where it goes.
LTG : )

Well not actually correct. If you are using a color DMD and not relying on HV then any signal issues one has with the HV section potentially go away. I essentially proved this by placing a color DMD in there which is now flawless. So I'm gonna leave the HV section to someone else to rebuild if they wantand just keep the color DMD in there. Great reason for an upgrade I guess
