My set is perfect except for one broken one. I wish they would make some smaller sets like what's available for DE Star Wars.

Pinballcenter.eu has some individual ones for sale
I bought the full set from PPS just to replace one broken one and one cracked one. I am disappointed in the green color. It does not match the original color. I will try to post some pics later, I'm at work right now. What sucks is now I have to decide. Do I just replace the broken one and see if I can get over the MAJOR color difference, or just go ahead and replace the entire set so it all matches?
Disappointing to hear the colors do not match.
EDIT: Rick and others make good points. My new plastics for The Shadow looked great. I replaced all of them and never bothered to compare them. There was no need.
of course the ones we had are incorrect lol ... could wms had variations of color or the ones on any game can fade ... these are original supplier who did them for wms using original films and same color inks ... I think sometimes it may be difficult to match individual pieces with color to something some 15 years ago, that is why partial sets are never a good idea ... i will check again but I've never heard of a plastic set being run incorrectly especially by the original suppliers ...
The set I got looks pretty good. It is not a perfect match but I assumed that is because my current plastics are old and have some color fading over time?
Thanks for making these PPS!!! It will allow me to sometime fully restore my Congo!
Any plans to offer up more Congo stuff? I would love a cabinet decal set!
I'm not picking here. Just pointing out what they look like compared to original. I don't think you can chalk it up to fade, because the originals are actually darker than the repros. Anyway, here are two pics under slightly different lighting conditions. As usual, pictures don't seem to show true colors very well. What I see to my naked eye is the ones in the game are a darker green, and the repros are lighter and brighter.
DSCF5977.JPG DSCF5979.JPGIt might help us assess the issue if you stated which was which in your pictures.. you say the ones in the game look like a darker green....if the one on the LEFT is the original, I'd say that the actual plastic is YELLOWED, which is why the tint and color difference is so much... if Congo has any clears, you might be able to compare your clears to see just how yellowed the set in your game is... put it on a sheet of white printer paper and you'll see just how yellow the clear sections can be.
I have not actually replaced any of them yet, so the one on the left is PPS, the one on the right is original. There are some clears so I will ck with a white background as you suggested.
the existing ones sure look faded to me ... that kind of bright green always will fade ... good thing we offer them as the full set - as then everyone has the same color ..!
Just took a quick picture. The reproductions are just slightly (old one still installed) different but I think the color match is really good. I know my game has very little if any 'fade' per say but I am sure that just over time the color on the originals has leeched out.
Just wondering if anyone could tell me an approximate shipping time for these plastics? I just picked up my Congo this morning and ordered a set of plastics here on my lunch and wanted to know when I could expect them to arrive. Very excited to get this thing looking good, ordered the lower playfield window as well.
Yellow tends to fade, and it looks like the original plastic has lost its yellowness. The new ones have better color anyway... best to swap them all. Can use as an excuse to clean and rerubber
Who f'n cares...so the color is "slightly" off. I'd rather have a slightly off color than a plastic that is busted, chipped or completely gone for that matter.
Reminds me of about 10 years ago I used to have some very nice quality repro plastics that were made by Alan Meyer. Way back before anyone else was reproducing plastics. For those that didn't know Alan Meyer or the plastics he made. They were top notch, silkscreened, laser cut and made of more durable plastic that the originals.
Anyhow, I set a booth of at our local coin-op auction and offered his plastics for sale. A guy comes up to me and said "do you have the snack bar plastic for Creature, mine is broke in half".
I replied, "sure I do, here it is, they are $25 each".
He looked at it and waffled over it for a few minutes and said "no I think I'll pass the color is slightly off".
I'm thinking WTF? So I just put it back in the box and I'm scratching my head.
Maybe it's just me. But if I was looking over a pinball machine I was considering purchasing and I was looking at two Congo pinball's that were for sale beside each other and everything about them looked identical expect one had a gorilla plastic that looked a little brighter and the other had the plastic snapped in half. I think my decision would be pretty easy to go with the one with the brighter undamaged plastic.

Sorry didn't mean to bump this thread for color debate, just wanted to know about shipping times that is all. They look good to me, and I think the original complaint earlier in the thread got over any differences as well. Glad they were reproduced and look forward to installing them.
Those colors are not far enough off to care. Those plastics are damn near identical in every way imo.

Totally agree. Be grateful that they are at least being made !

I can't tell you exactly, but I think I had mine within about 4 business days after ordering. I think it took them a day or two to ship, and two or three days in transit.
I ordered 2 sets, and was initially only shipped one, but they got the second set out immediately after I contacted them.
Thanks Collin,
Looking forward to those coming, I think I will try to make some plastic protectors for them as well.
