Quoted from beelzeboob:Zinj is the lost city (the ruins on the PF and translite are Zinj). Lighting ZINJ lights the Mystery hole.
So I have to drain one down the right side to light the J?
I had 125 or so diamonds that game. Kinda blew it on ball 3 and only scored 1.6b
I think I heard a call out for super jp, but not sure how I got it.? My Nyquil was kicking in. It's all a haze.
What is the best way to apply those vinyl blade skins? Can you just lift up the entire playfield and stick them on or do you have to remove a bunch of stuff?
What is the best way to install the vinyl side blades? Do you just lift up the playfield? I figure it would be easiest to remove the playfield, but I'm not sure how to get it off.
Quoted from swampfire:The side decals look great, but are there Palm trees in the Congo?
Probably about as many palm trees as there are talking apes.
Quoted from beelzeboob:Mine's worth 5k with all the stuff I have in it. Once you get a shaker motor in there and a bunch of other goodies (along with great condition), you are talking between 4-5.
You know how I know mine is worth 5k? It's not going anywhere for less than that.
Any details on the shaker motor?
Quoted from Wickerman2:Anybody have extra plastics they want to sell? Revised pic...
CONGOPLASTICS3.jpg
Here are the plastics I have...
Hmm. I thought it was pretty flush. It rolls over the edges perfectly smooth. It will just come across that plastic and throw knuckle balls at me.
The window. Mine appears to be in great shape. Sometimes if the ball rolls over it slowly, it'll change direction. Maybe I shouldn't wax it?
Just got my new high score. Only 2.3bills.
( I don't think I've ever hit the volcano shot for a jackpot. )
Just replaced the window with a new one. The old one was slightly warped. It's crazy how much better it plays now. I've been cranking out volcano shots like crazy. Not a cheap part but it was worth it. Congo is fun again!
I've been tossing around the idea of selling my Congo. I've gotten too good at it ever since I put the new bottom gorilla plexi cover on. Couple reasons holding me back: I'm afraid that I would miss it and it's rock solid and in absolute perfect condition.
Quoted from Whysnow:looking at your colleciton I would sell ANY other game before Congo.
Yeah. Gofers isn't going anywhere. I'd sell TOM first, but my cousin put up a GC score that I am determined to beat.
I have my color dmd's set to the smooth setting instead of dots. Can't remember what it is called. So, I guess I should just stick to the usual if that is my preference?
Turned all my pins on this weekend and poor Congo was looking out of place being the only one with an orange dmd. Color will be arriving later this week.
Neat. Thanks!
Which style and how many would be used for the volcano? It's been so long since I needed to lift my playfield, I can't remember what's under there.
Was just about to beat my gc score. Had extra ball lit on left loop. Ball comes out of the pops to the left flipper. I decide to just let it bounce off and over to the right so I can grab the extra ball and instead of bouncing it just dead drops and drains. Game over. Aaagggghhhh.
Quoted from Squeakman:I've had my Congo for over 5 years now. Its one of the nicest i've ever seen. I love it dearly, but it doesn't get played much anymore. I think what keeps Congo from being one of the best pins of the 90's is the lack of modes and a story or ending so to speak to shoot for. Now its all about just trying to beat the diamonds collected or the high score which on my game is over 5 billion. I keep telling myself its time to move on from it, yet i just can't. I'm curious if anyone else has felt this way? Just when I think i'm ready to let it go, I play it and just can't bring my self to part with it.
Same
