Well in STTNG, the artifacts you collect (awards for doing well in a mode) are cumulative across the entire game. So if you start with 4 artifacts in Final Frontier (wizard mode), then collect 4 more for your second trip to FF, you get bonus/scoring based on 8. Of course you could cheat and time out modes and keep playing FF but that's lame. So in that game you want to just keep going, but the out lanes stop you! Also multi-ball jackpot scoring increases throughout the game as well, so it can become as lucrative as a wizard mode.
