I finally bought myself an eprom programmer (GQ-4X) and it's already beginning to pay for itself. I like to have things on hand when I need them for a project. Are there common eproms that I should stock up on?

Where is you preferred place to buy eprom chips?

I haven't bought enough of them to have a preferred place yet. The ones I've used so far came from ebay and Big Daddy.

What games do you work on?

I buy my EPROMs from ebay for usually less than a dollar each. You have to be careful though, all the ones on ebay that are marked as new are remarks. The remarkers screw up on the voltage ratings and suffix of chip. I always start with lowest voltage and work up.

    WMS 3-7 and early Bally/Stern = 2716, 2732, and maybe 2532(use 2732 instead)
    Bally 6803 - 2764, 27128
    WMS 9-11 - 2764, 27128, 27256

    Quoted from barakandl:

I work on anything that comes along and looks like fun. Right now I'm retheming a rollergames and restoring a Black Knight. https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/bringing-black-knight-back-to-life The burner is coming in very handy.

Thanks for the list and the advice. That'll get me started.

You can buy pulled eprom's at eepromman.com. Good prices, and I've yet to get a bad one.
