Spent the last few days wiring up these playfields to hang in my new shop with the forthcoming "PFSequence" I'm currently developing. I hope this will be well suited for the hobbyist who would like to re-use their old playfields as arcade wall art (or coffee table, or bar top or wherever your imagination takes you). Since the Yoppsicle lays flat against the playfield, this allows for easy hanging of the PF nearly flat against the wall, with plenty of brightness for both inserts and GI lighting (I did use Yoppsicles for GI lighting and it works well in this instance, although I still don't recommend them for GI in an actual machine)

After I get all my supplies in I'll be packaging them up as kits for anyone interested.

    The planned kit will feature:
    A PFSequencer with power supply.
    Dozens of animation sequences.
    Speed adjustable.
Will include a panel of 50 Yoppsicles in either the warm or cool variety for wiring and mounting underneath the playfield.
All wiring needed to hook everything up.
    Instructional video on Youtube.

    Hookup WILL require soldering.

    Sounds cool!

Nice. Keep 'em coming, Yopp! Would these be programmable in any way?

Looks great! Very interested in this!

I'm working on two paths. One that is plug and play, and one that can have new sequences programmed for those that are so inclinded.

    Yessss. Good idea.

Will this be on the Arduino platform?

I have a number of playfields that I am in the research phase to start building light sequences from scratch.

Mainly comparing the cost between fully addressable with manual programming and off the shelf low cost lighting.

Big vision would be to have 4-6 playfields hung side by side and see if I could have each field have separate sequences and then one loop where they all become a large matrix and do a quick show synchronized together. This would be MAJOR programming though.

This was my first attempt with an off the shelf “fairy lights” but I did not lay it out correctly for the built in sequence. A lot of inserts stay on because I have 2 lights on each one. I did not have the lights on and blinking when I did it so I have to redo this one ‍♂️

This one however I spent much more time laying out. Turned out much better. I still found that I have 2 inserts that light next to each other at the same time. Picky on my part but I notice it.

While this works and is fairly cheap $15-$20 each (As of April 22) I would much rather spend a little more and gain the control and better mimic a tract mode sequences.
