Yes, I am 38 years old and I like comic books AND pinball. I don't know if this is typically but I do.
I won't buy a x-men pinball but I have SM and BDK. I grew up with Avengers, SM, Batman, Superman, Flash.....then I lost interest in comics.
After my time at the german army I went to the university to study and in the city there I found a comic shop. I went in and found one comic that brought me back to comics: Neil Gaiman's Sandman. From there on I understood, that comics don't have to be a childish thing. This medium can do things that could not be done with movies or books. It's something between, but something that could break the limits, it could be an art of it's own. I don't think you can make a movie out of sandman, or wrote a book that could come close to the same experience.
From there on I found many more comic books that I now realy love. Watchmen, Y the Last Man, Preacher, The Fountain, Lucifer, The Books of Magic and many many more.......
And I saw the old books like Batman (for example: The Long Halloween) with new eyes.
Try it before you judge it.
