"Retro Flashers" sounds like a 1970s magazine. Eesh!

Has anyone tried Comet's 5 SMD Retro flashers? I love the look of incandescent flashers on my F14, but I hate heat and would love to eliminate warming resistors. Non retro flashers are blinding!

I'm very disappointed with Comet's bullet retro warm white #44 GI bulbs. They're a cooler temperature than their regular warm white 1 SMD bulbs, so I'm a little skeptical with Comet's description now.

I’ve used them in playfield locations and inserts with good results. I think they are not good for backbox use as the one top led ends up being dimmer than an incandescent, stick with the 8 chip especially with dark translites. The color ones tend to be much dimmer so I’ll only use them in a color flasher dome that is close to the player.
