I remember last year it came up at about 12:15 AM on black Friday if I remember properly. That was Eastern time zone.

    #3 6 years ago

Yes, you're too early. It's November 3rd for Christ's sake!

    #10 6 years ago

LOL ya I buy a couple orders a year but the Black Friday one is by far the biggest! That’s why I gotta plan...

    #11 6 years ago

@ryanwanger, any sale coming for black Friday? It's this time of the year

    #12 6 years ago

Ya something should be announced soon

    #13 6 years ago

Which do you think is more likely for 2017: a Black Friday sale...or the first time ever for Comet Pinball not to run a Black Friday sale?

    Hmmm......

    Hmmm......

And a single beam of light shines down from the heavens upon Ryan as a chorus of angels gently sings “hallelujah”

I hate that I work every Black Friday and I miss the good deals as they are sold out by the time I get home.

Comet Pinball Black Friday sale "usually" runs from Friday through the whole week-end. Stay cool.

    #20 6 years ago

You should just go ahead and do a pre Black Friday sale or give pinsiders a code so you can start counting bulbs sooner rather than later!

    #21 6 years ago

YA Exactly then just hit submit in the day!

    #22 6 years ago

Yeah defiantly need a lot of flashers. Hope flex flashers are part of the sale!!

Yep! Post lights and strips. And there is matrix a sampler kit if you order $199 or more.

This guy has it all figured out!

    Quoted from Langless28:

My heart sank a little. All 8SMD flashers are on sale...except for flex. Sad trombone. (We just don't normally sell enough of those to justify stocking up for a sale).

This sucks! The sale will go live around midnight on Thursday (not sure which time zone). Last year we were total newbies and ran out of some stuff very quickly. This year we've planned ahead better, but it's still possible/likely we'll run out of certain things before it's over. Mostly I just spend the few weeks before the sale and the few weeks after stressing about inventory levels.

This year we're trying to keep the shipping madness down to as few days as possible, and take a day and a half off before it starts.

    This is dedication.

Ryan any specials on your 12 volt bulbs (555 style) or is are these like the flex flasher where there isnt enough demand to stock up in bulk on them?

    #27 6 years ago

All 2 smd bulbs part of the sale?

    #28 6 years ago

Ryan, anything this year to cut the shipping cost down for us fellow Canadians?

The 8SMD wedge seen here will be on sale: http://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/8smdflash.htm (these are the same size/style as 906 incandescent bulbs).

    Quoted from chuckwurt:

Edit: Whites, ice blue, and amber of these: http://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/2smd-ct-ft.htm.

Sadly no. We've actually been exploring some options internationally. We need higher international volume to have a shot at better prices. Maybe we can figure out a way to get it lower in 2018. No promises.

    #30 6 years ago

Sweet! Warm white is all I need. Haha

dang i was looking for something like this

    http://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/8smdminit10.htm

i realize now they are called mini 12 volt bulbs. I just them in coin doors in a bunch of my arcades.

    #32 6 years ago

What are the 555 style socket bulbs that can handle being connected to a 906 style flasher bulb with the pad sticking out sideways on some short wires from the socket? I need to know what bulb number/style number to look up. Both of my flasher bulbs under my "Hooked" lighted apron burned out after a couple of uses. Might have been the wrong bulbs.

    Flex flashers? http://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/8smdflexflash.htm

    Quoted from KingBW:

Just to clear things up, #555 bulbs, aka wedges, aka T10 socket, are a 6.3V bulb.

What people usually call "flashers" means 12 or 13V. Those are what would be 906 in incandescent world, and are a T15 socket...which is larger than the T10. (However T10 sized bulbs would fit in a T15 bracket, and we do have 12V bulbs that are T10 sized like these: http://www.cometpinball.com/product-p/5smdflash.htm).

Seems like those aprons probably use both. The bulbs that trigger when a 12V flasher goes off in the game should also be a 12V bulb. If it was a 6.3v bulb instead, they would have burned out quickly.

Hopefully that made sense. Message me if you still need help!

    #34 6 years ago

PM sent - thanks for the help!

    #35 6 years ago

Wow that either made a lot of sense ... or iam even more confused ....

The plan is midnight EST (meaning, roughly two hours from now). Be kind if I end up a little bit behind.

    Is it time yet?

    #43 6 years ago

Sale is up! If there are any issues, send me a direct message. I'll get that faster.

To clarify the 2SMDs and 4SMDs have limited colors that are on sale (whites, ice blue, amber for the 2SMD...and whites, red, and purple for the 4SMD). Turns out, it's very difficult to gauge inventory 4 months in advance!

All other products are all colors. And in some cases, there is an upper limit on how many you can buy. You can thank the guy who bought 100+ lighting strips last year!

    #44 6 years ago

    Order placed!

    #46 6 years ago

I've been wanting to order fast blinking #47 bulbs and 1smd frosted #47 sunlight bulbs for a while, but both have been out of stock every time I've checked lately. Any chance those will return at some point?

    #47 6 years ago

    Guilty. Order placed as well.

    #48 6 years ago

Order placed as well! Most of what I wanted wasn't on sale but hey, it's only pinball!

They will return. Really sorry, we've been having manufacturing issues on those. Should have them back in the next two to three months. I'll send you a message as soon as they arrive.

Only doing certain products seems to be the route for us, but maybe that will change sometime. Thanks so much for understanding! It's a stressful time for us, so we love the extra good vibes.
