So my comet died.

This first issue I had was.

- Game would do startup sequence when powered on.
- WOULD accept a quarter and add a credit
- Would NOT start a game when the "start game" button was pressed
- Existing high score was lost and set back to default

Sooo, I thought since it had lost its high score, I would carefully replace the batteries. After I replaced the battery, it got worst.

- Would not coin up or start game
- Flippers work when you hit flipper bottons
- Player one is stuck with the value of 2540 4 Note the space ( see picture below )
- Credit are stuck at 4
- The single character error light on system board is 0

Anyone have any ideas ? Any help would be appreciated.

You don't have credits. It stuck in a dead battery mode. Hold the enter button down. Scroll through all the numbers until it resets. You may have to do it once or twice or so and then it should be fine.

Coil work ? Broken wire or anything ? Gummed up and can't move ?

No to sure hot to test it.

Coil looks OK and seem to move smoothly. All wires seem connected to the micro switch but its tough to seen where the wires connect to the coil.

Is there a test I can do with my meter to check it ?

Ground tab of transistor that drives it. If it fires, then wiring is good. If not, you have a break from transistor legs to and including the coil.

UPDATE

This problem isn't just the "kick out" mechanism in the gutter between the flipper.. The "kick out" mechanism below the Cycle Jump does not respond... i.e. when it "captures" the ball, it doesn't kick out the ball to continue the ball.

UPDATE

Bumpers don't work either. Has to be related.

Do the bumpers and "kick outs" all use the same power ? Could this be a fuse issue ?

FIXED

Blown 4 amp, slow blow fuse on the power supply.

Should of checked the obvious stuff first... DOH !

Pro Tip: Have a setup of fuses on hand. I bought a "kit" for this machine from Marco when I ordered other items.
