    Anyone else having issues buying from Comet lately?

    This is the third time in the past half a year I've tried to order from them, only to find really basic bulbs (1SMD 5050 frosted lens green and/or yellow) out of stock. Last time I sucked it up and bought similar bulbs in a retro style, but the one I had to do that for two months ago is still not in stock. I'm not trying to buy massive numbers; just enough to do a couple games.

    I've historically been loyal to Comet, but I'm about to switch back to another source for LEDs out of frustration.

    *edit* after realizing Comet prices blew everything out of the water by a larger margin than before, I changed up a few bulbs and got what I needed from Comet. Came out VERY nice!

    ryanwanger not trying to call anyone out, but any chance you could address this?

    Things will get better, we promise. Now that we've figured out how to run this business, the only thing left that stresses me out is running out of stock. My dream is that it never happens, but that's probably not feasible with over 1000 different bulbs.
    We've had a healthy stock of green and yellow frosted 1SMDs (both wedges and bayonets) dating back to November (or earlier), though some are low in just the last week. So for some reason, your experience doesn't seem to align with our actual inventory levels. Please reach out via PM so we can figure out where the disconnect is...you should have been able to buy these all along!

    Perhaps unbelievably, our e-commerce provider does not allow this. It's maddening. It might be the thing that gets us to switch to a different platform. For now, you can email [email protected] and ask us when we'll get X back in stock. The answer will always be "a few week", but we'll put you on a list and send you a personal email when it arrives.

    Based on my conversation with Ryan, it's likely items are showing out of stock that they actually have. I may have even brought a system issue to their attention, so you can get the fuck outta here with that "quit crying" garbage.

    Ryan, probably not feasible, but maybe an option would be a free upgrade to the next bulb up for people with larger orders?

    I. E. If Retros aren't available, include 5050s at no additional cost? Or sub non-ghosting for ghosting bulbs? You might get some $300 orders out the door by sacrificing $3 in profit

    Just sayin... It is a pretty shitty way to treat a company you like to support and one that does a good job. Everytime this gets bumped, you are basically bad mouthing Comet and turning people away from them.
    Kind of BS considering I have not once had an issue with OOS bulbs. Not a very nice way to treat a good business.

    I honestly have never once had an issue with anything being OOS at Comet and the prices and service are so good that I would never come whine about a few oddball bulbs being OOS on a forum or be so passive aggressive with a thread title and now revised title. It is still a BS way to treat a company that is good, provides a good product, and actually response to emails very quickly.
    Are you whining about some stupid color changer one off that only you have even ordered and they probably should just remove entirely from their website or are you having a legitimate issue with a common bulb that should be in stock? either way the only correct solution was to email team Comet and work with them.
    Is this really all over 1smd frosted green and yellows? If so then 2 things:
    1. Stop color bombing games. It looks like crap
    2. Buy the 2SMD and stop being so cheap

    from what I see, both the 1SMD and 2SMD in frosted Yellow and Green are in stock currently?

    1. These are for insert lamps, not GI. Not color bombing.

    2. The 1 DMD is the brightness I want; I'd switch between ghosting & non ghosting sooner than switch brightness.

    3. Learn to read. The edit to the original post reflects I already made substitutions weeks ago

    4. Same as 3, See my above post; there was a legitimate system issue
