Just picked a comet but the board that is below the back glass that the speakers are in was missing. Could someone kindly post photos of the back of the board it possible I’m going to have to fabricate one so I can install the back glass in it.

Thanks in advanced

Quoted from johndheretic:

matthew2000tx I can get those pictures to you soon(certainly by this weekend, have to get the door mechanism off to remove it) as I'm about to break that part of my head down.

I’ve found some online also Sourced one but it’s Coming in From Italy so it’s going to take a while.

I’m in!
My spiral ramp was cracking so I whipped up a 3D printer protector to reinforce the outside wall. Also made a protector for the right ramp

Nice do you have STL files posted anywhere?

Anyone have a good schematic or a photo of the coin door buttons I’m not seeing a good wiring diagram in the manual. My newly acquired comet is a mess in this area.

Thanks! I actually found one in italy forsale and it's on it's way to Texas now... hopefully it gets through customs ok.

I do have another request. I've been looking at the schematic as to coin door diagnostic buttons/switches but would like to see a photo of the exact pinning locations of each of the diagnostic coin door buttons. Do you think post a few photos of that for me. Thanks

99.9% sure the ? is empty. Also pretty sure the diode goes from where you have D to where you have the WB. Machine is at my mom's, I'll check to be sure later today.

Ok thanks min diode is connected in mine like it is in the handwritten diagram. My coin door is a mess of a hack job. ThanKs

Quoted from jaytrem:

Here ya go. Bent the diode a bit so that its a little clearer.

I did manage to grab a new backglass, so no fade. Figured I'd try some warm whites at some point.

Was it a repo Backglass I’m looking for one.

Quoted from JeffF:

Just put Wolffpac Tech displays in my Comet this weekend and was happy to see the commas. Only slight issue I had was not knowing some Comets have pin connectors instead of edge connectors on the master display PCB. A little rewiring and the displays were working good.
So glad I got the chance to join the Comet club.
[quoted image]

How are you liking the Wolfpac displays I’m going to order some from him soon.

Quoted from JeffF:

This is my third set. I bought two red sets, one for Gorgar and one for Blackout and then an orange set for Comet. The orange looks really close to the originals IMO and it's really nice having displays that only use 5v.
Assembly is straight forward. The only thing to be careful of is how darn sticky the padding stickers are. There are some exposed sticky areas after you install them and if you accidentally have something touch there it's tough getting things unstuck without ripping.

That is great I have a blackout that I planned on getting a set for too! I think I'm just sticking with original orange. Did you buy from his website or from ebay. How was it to contact him and say you needed to Comet set for System 9
