Anyone have a copy of the manual they could send me? Just picked up a comet and the manual on IPDB isnt loading up. Thanks!

Dang. Mine looks like yours did. Makes me want to install a hardtop even more! The colors are soooo different.

The 3 4 and 5x are all on column 8. I would start looking at those ones too. They could be backfeeding into that row. Just an FYI, some of the lights in column 8 are in the backbox. Took me a while to figure that out the first time I was chasing stuff down.

Also, you should check your GI plug on the driver board. If they are burnt at all, they can do wacky things.

As wayout440 said, GI lighting has nothing to do with IJ7. It is all from 3J8. You said you checked voltage, did you check it as AC and not DC? The GI is AC.

Once the connectors burn, its time to replace the connector and the headers on the board. Otherwise it just comes back again and again (and probably what happened this time). Leaving it on shouldn't be an issue otherwise.

If you put LED's in, no need to change anything. Just stick them in.

Glad you got it figured out!

Does anyone know if CPR ever did a Comet playfield? I can't find any info on it, so Im guessing not. Trying to decide if I go the hardtop route or wait for the "on-demand" playfields to come out. Id rather have the repro playfield if I have a choice (though I have a space shuttle with a hard top and its an awesome product).

Quoted from PinDeLaPin:

Any of you close to louisville this guy has a nice backglass listed for sale. louisville.craigslist.org link

I wish I was closer! Damn. Mine is flaking bad, could really use a better one.

Quoted from wastedwarriors:

If anyone needs an old back glass I have one in Newburgh ny ( local pick up only)

Wish I was closer. Mine is pretty bad looking.
