    I believe you have to have the the coin door open, game on, then turn the game off and on twice. If it still comes up in bookkeeping mode, shut the game off and check for battery voltage at pin 24 of the u18 chip. also check the blocking diode D3. An open d3 will not let battery power to the cpu.
