You're behind the times here labnip. Check the comments on the FB post, or the other "ColorDMD Hint" thread
But you are forgetting that some people don't get their information from anywhere other than on Pinside. haha
Wait does that mean we are one step further for getting a stern star trek colour dmd ??
Whatever happened to a Data East title?
Seems to be the poor cousin nobody wants....
Gilligan will work! I've said it before, same principle as Addams. Remove some bulbs and install Dmd, that easy. Just like Thing window squares, same idea except 180 concept.
Is the code finished? A game cannot be colored properly if the graphics get changed. I remember the early code on TWD had the skill shot with a diagram of the 4 star roll-overs flashing in a sequence to maximize points. Next time I went to the machine after a code upgrade the whole thing was gone. I don't have access to one anymore to know what changes had been made to the game.
I feel like we need a 60s Batman outro right now...
Will this cdmd just be a splash of colour on an already overly blue game
Will labnip finally be at peace with his predicition and happy with the outcome
Find out next week.
Labnip.... Nanananannananananana. Laaaaabniiiiiiiip

The TRON preview video admittedly contains a lot of blue because we decided to highlight the video sequences with colors driven by the source material. I think the saturation of the blue is higher in the video than on the actual display. It's hard to represent this accurately and the colors are never really the same as they appear in life.
However if you take a look at the TRON playfield/cabinet/translite, it's a very blue game with punches of color throughout. I think this is what you'll notice during gameplay. I own TRON myself, provided feedback to Mark during development, and believe the result is a very good fit to the game.
Quoted from Meegis:
I know its a huge step up, but I feel like there was WAY too much blue. At the very least, ZUSE should be white, not all blue.
Just my first opinion.
Remember that throughout the film, ZUSE was shot through a blue filter and the shooting spree sequence at End of Line was particularly blue...
EDIT: Here's an actual frame grab from our editor for comparison with the preview video (see labnip's post below).
If you have any other DMD games, put a ColorDMD in them, download the Tron code & install it into your other games
And play play play
