Thanks. I just took a look at AC/DC on youtube and it looks like the ripped video portion is in monochrome with other hand drawn effects in color.

I had my hopes up for Xmen this time
I recently purchased 1 for my Xmen thinking it was coming soon.
It will hopefully be colorized along with another needed update from Stern.
Smooth gold looks good for now.

The only video clip that is monochrome is the shot of the crowd on song mode shots. The other three video rips are in color and they were a giant PIA to color. I could do Spider-Man or Tron, but I would lose my sanity doing those video clips.

This will be my first color DMD purchase. I hope I don't enjoy like it too much as I have a Metallica and TOM next to it and not the funds currently. Then again, Christmas is just around the corner right?

So it is possible, thanks for the clarification and sorry for my mistake. Not being familiar enough with AC/DC, I didn't watch the youtube video long enough to catch the other ripped images.
The colorization of AC/DC looks great!

They'd actually be pretty awful choices, sorry to say for the fans. 
Hand coloring movie clips instead of hand drawn art sounds like an absolutely mind numbing experience. Huge sea of smeary, constantly shifting dots, with little rhyme or reason to transitions and borders and areas of solid color? The same things that make them hard to watch on an LED DMD are what would make them such a pain to work with.

I can absolutely see that. I guess if nothing else the higher def of colordmd could enhance those video clips.
Anyone got video of colordmd in action on these movie shots?
