Swapping a ColorDMD from a WPC machine that doesn't need the male-to-male adapter to a WPC machine that DOES need the male-to-male adapter. ColorDMD was in the machine when I bought it and male-to-male adapter wasn't included. Any idea where I can buy one (or a couple) on its own? Closest I could find was something like this on Marco https://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/5791-12461-05 but besides one too many pins, it doesn't seem quite the same as what's included in the ColorDMD kit.

You can trim that one from Marco.

It seems to be very hard to find the ones that have the plastic teeth going both directions any more. here are the ones like you have pictured and the only place I have found them available recently:

    https://www.greatplainselectronics.com/proddetail.asp?prod=MWWS100-2236

As LER mentioned....you just break / cut / trim them down to however many pins you need.

Definitely don't mind trimming, but would prefer the ones with teeth both ways like you mentioned. Appreciate the link!

Try pinball life. I amost had to do this, then I got in touch with the original seller who had in and the standoffs still in the box.

I'm just not sure why you would ever need this type adapter to install a color DMD. Is there some type of "Y" cable you need that requires it? If so, can you not use the aux power output port on the ColorDMD?

It's for splitting the connections at J116. There's already a connector there. The Z-connector allows the factory plug to be moved from J116 to a daisy-chain connection that comes with the wiring harness of the ColorDMD.
