Interesting. In the past they have made it clear that if a pattern does not exist, they can't add one. In other words if there are no changes in shades, there can't be changes in color in the color version. This seems to no longer be the case.

Again, I'd like to know more info on this. I just think it's unnecessary advertising. Not a major problem but it is noticeable and sends a message. If Williams wrote their logo across the screen when they originally designed the game I would understand that precedent.
