Does the love never dies flashers need to be removed?

I bought LED strips for my love never dies flashers. They come with a 3m adhesive and should be an easy install on the part of the display that covers the area of the flashers. I think that all that will have to be done is to move the mount for the flashers and run the wires under the display and affix them on the display. At least I think it will work.
Quoted from bigd1979:Hopefully its not to difficult to come up with a solution to fit the lcd and love never dies flashers....
Awesome, thanks!
Quoted from aobrien5:Easier than that. Here you go:

I want to purchase the LCD but cant find the software on the website. Has anyone installed the LCD on their Dracula and where do you find the firmware for colorization?
The color did not bother me and after a while you wont even notice it.
Quoted from Rarehero:Yeah, I have no idea why some is purple. I never saw it as purple until you mentioned it. Unless you have a light on it, it looks black. I dunno - I didn't want to risk screwing up my original - so until someone makes a better one, this is the best way to go at the moment if you want ColorDMD.
I plan on putting in an LCD (on the way) and I wanted to know if there are any additional hardware that is needed? I have a LED strip that I plan to use to light the love never dies so I think the concern with the LCD vs. LED and using the love never dies lights will be answered shortly. I really like the high resolution.
How long does it take to download the formware to the DMD? Mine seems to be taking an awfully long time, the program button is blinking as if it is working but the screen is blank.
Got it, thanks....
Quoted from Dmod:The program button should go solid. If it's blinking, it's flashing an error code. A single repeated blink means a file with the expected name: (colordmd.rom or chroma.rom) could not be found on the drive.
Check the filename to make sure you have the correct ROM version (chroma.rom for new displays with Chroma A1 controller board) and make sure there are no added characters (ex. chroma(1).rom) and no hidden double extension (ex. chroma.rom.rom).
To clear the error, you'll need to reset power to the display and then try again.
